When East met West in Wisconsin
Last year we happened to take part in a music fest in Madison, WI that had an interesting concept. The festival honored two pioneers of Eastern and Western classical music worlds, OVK and Bach. The event included local talents’ recital of the some of the compositions in the two styles and a panel discussion exploring the different facets of the two legends.
This year's Melharmony concept was Thyagaraja-Mozart fest. Due to certain unavoidable circumstances, we couldn’t attend it this time. We are already looking forward to the Melharmony theme for next year at the Mid-West’s Indian Classical Hub, Madison.
