If you are a musician who thinks your music is never going to be mainstream, you will find this article useful. Also, if you think it is hard to survive as an indie artist, you may find a workaround by reading this article.
Chances are you already have a day job. If you hate your day job and want to do more of music in your life, here are a few tips:
1. Be a minimalist - Firstly, embrace minimalism. It would eventually, help you get rid of the clutter in terms of debt, materialistic stuff, negative people/media, time, and energy. Through this process, not only will you save up much money by wanting less and spending less but also, will you be able to pursue things that you have always wanted to do.
2. Keep your overhead low - The only way to achieve this is by living below your means (not within your means). If you have successfully followed step 1, step 2 should not be so difficult.
Remember this formula and if possible, print it out and stick it on your living room wall.
Watch the story of the Minutemen, who introduced the term, 'Jam Econo'. You can get their book here.
